NimbuzzOut calling has landed on Android devices. You can make super cheap international calls to mobile phones and landlines worldwide right from Nimbuzz on your Android mobile. Friend suggestions automatically detects which of your phone contacts are also Nimbuzz users and creates a list of suggested friends from which you can choose who to add to your Nimbuzz contact list. The big advantage of this feature is that once you add them, you will be able to see when they are online, so instead of a paid call (using your minutes), you can choose to call them for free over your data connection . Nice, right?

The Dialer tab allows you to call mobile phone and landline numbers that you don’t have in your address book. Best of all, as soon as I dial the number NimbuzzOut shows me how much will I pay per minute for the call.

The tab has another really useful feature; it allows you to set a permanent country prefix. This helps a lot when you are abroad, for example, and are calling the same country over and over again. No need to remember the country code, simply dial your friend’s or family’s number as you are used to

Facebook Connect means that we are using Facebook’s official API to connect you to Facebook Chat. I am a skype user….I am using only wifi for the moment until I can choose a cellphone provider. Where can I find information about the quality of the calls placed on nimbuzz? I have found the skype quality to be generally quite good.

If I make a skypeout call on Nimbuzz can I receive a return call through nimbuzz to my skype phone number?…. It doesnt seem that this is possible….Also will my skype buds be able to call me on nimbuzz? Thank you!

-Yes, your Skype friends can call you on Nimbuzz as long as you are logged in your Skype account on Nimbuzz.
- We also support SkypeOut which allows you to make calls to mobile phones and landlines, but you can’t receive calls using your Skype number.

I have a Motorola Quench XT520. I’ve downloaded the NimBuzz application. But why wouldn’t i sign in my Nimbuzz. It keep saying that “Login Error, Internet connection is unavailable. Please check your settings and try again” when i’ve connection with the internet. Hope to get your reply asap. Please email me the solution if possible

when i started up nimbuzz on my htc aria for the first time, it said that sms would be charged when i send messages… does that mean that every message that i send while chatting on skype will cost me as if i’m sending a sms?

Doesn’t work: Nexus1 w/ Froyo

Added my Skype account – ok. Try to call Echo123 (test call) – everything ok until it connects at which point there is NO AUDIO. No sound out of headset. Turn speaker on – no sound. NO SOUND. HOW CAN A CALLING APP WORK WITHOUT SOUND????

Added my SIP Account – says it is connected. Try to make a call. It rings but once call is connected NO SOUND.
No sound out of phone. Turn speaker on – NO SOUND.
How can a CALLING APP – isn’t that what Nimbuzz is? – work without SOUND?????????????

I have a 200mb data plan, but no sms plan.

The message screen pops up when I try to skip phone registration.

“You will not be able to load your phone contacts in Nimbuzz and make free calls and send messages without paying for SMS”

My main purpose of installing Nimbuzz is to chat with my friends who only use Skype for instant messaging. Will I be charged for SMS if all I’m doing is IM?

@Ming we recommend that you use Nimbuzz with an unlimited data plan so you avoid any extra charges. You won’t be charged for SMS but if you go over your data plan you will be charged. Where are you located? Who is your service provider? Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I have installed Nimbuzz on my Samsung Vibrant recently. But, when I try to call a mobile number using skype out, it says “Service Error -> Phone no could not be validated”.

Do we need to add these numbers as contacts in Skype before we can dial them using Nimbuzz? Is this mandatory?

I’ve been getting that “service error” message too, starting a few days ago, maybe since one of the latest updates. it used to work here, but now it doesn’t anymore, what is going on?

I tried to blame it on bad 3g signal, but not even wifi will do it.

I’m using Nimbuzzout from the android app, by the way.

Like I said, the app behaves the same on either wifi or 3G – the “phone number could not be validated” message whn calling and now I see the dialpad window won’t display the call cost as I enter the number.

I am calling from São Paulo Brazil, my operator is TIM (GSM, UMTS 3G I think), usually to the US but attempting to call brazilian numbers will get the same result. Phone is a motorola quench, running cupcake android.

And finally, yes, I do have credit to make these calls (I’m slightly over $3).

Funny thing is, under 2 weeks ago it would work without a hitch.

@Dan – I’m located in Dallas and I face this issue either with wifi or 3G. I’m trying to call using the skype out, so I think I don’t need any Nimbuzz out credits. I’m trying to call some number in Dallas.

Ok, I found something. If I change my phone’s system language to english, calls to the US work, but calling other countries is hit or miss (can’t call brazil, uk or argentina, for example).

Seems like it’s a problem with the country codes list. I also noticed my default setting from that same list won’t stick if my phone language is set to portuguese.

I’d prefer to have my phone set to my language, and what makes this a bit more irritating is that it used to work smoothly a while ago, perhaps before the latest updates…?

the nimbuzz worked fine for 2 dayz but now its giving the error ‘internet connection is unavailable please check. ur settings’. while all my other applications are working fine, i have downloaded the latest version from android market. i am using android version 2.1

I’ve just installed the Nimbuzz app to my Samsung captivate. I’m trying to use Nimbuzz out credits ($10) to make a call to Egypt, but I’m getting the “Phone number could not be validated message”. Is there any tricks that I need to do to get it to work?

I actually got it to call. I realized that I had to enter the country code despite selecting it. It seems that selecting the country isn’t that useful. On the other hand, I have problems with the mic. Samsung captivate over wifi.

Do you skype credit: Yes. (I successfully called to a number with skype on my PC.)
Do you have Nimbuzz Credit: No

Comments: Tried on 3G only also, but no use.

PS: Uninstalled from my phone.

PSS: I will install if I know that it works on my phone for sure.

Yep. Its working by dialing 0111number. But the problem is, other person is unable to hear my voice.

My brother owns MICROMAX ANDRO A60 at Gwalior in India.
I live in Delhi with NOKIA N8. when he calls me thru NIMBUZZ, there is no voice and when i call there is no voice.
What could be the problem. We both r using wifi and call ringing do occur.

I cant call anyone on my friend list using nimbuzz.The call icon is disabled.I use broadband at home and connect to the internet through wifi.I am in Saudi Arabia.My cell phone is Sony Ericsson Vivaz U5i.The version of nimbuzz that I am using is 3.0.0 3859.Built for S60 5th edition NV.
