  4. Not working on my SAMSUNG GALAXY S. Cannot make the mic work, thus the other side does NOT hear me at all. Any help?

    Lumir August 4th, 2010
  5. @Lumir Can you please let me know when does this happen? Which network are you using? Are you using the current Nimbuzz 2.0 version? Please let me know and I will be happy to assist you further.

    Dan August 5th, 2010
  6. Hi Dan, I am using the latest version just updated from the market yesterday – it is 2.0.0 Build 7981.8052. It does NOT work vitually at all when trying to talk over SKYPE. I would accept a bit unstable SKYPE as per login but nobody could ever hear me!!! And talking is I believe the primary use for SKYPE. I hope you guys fix it ASAP as Galaxy S is becoming phenomenon. At least here in Europe I see people swithching from iPhones a lot. Including me.

    Lumir August 5th, 2010

    Dan August 6th, 2010
  10. Hello Dan. The previous version was working good over 3g, now with 2.0 when I make a skype call over 3G I dont hear anything and the other side cant hear me.
Like I said, the previous version was working good, nimbuzz dont display message or error. I have a Nexus One 2.2 froyo.

I hope you guys fix it. Nimbuzz was perfect for me, until this issue. If you need more information about just let me know.

    Gabriel August 7th, 2010
  11. @Dan That’s good to know.

    vme August 7th, 2010
  12. @Gabriel – Thanks so much for all the info – This is very valuable for us. We are already working on it, and we are investigating more what’s going on.

If you don’t mind I have a few more questions for you. In which country are you located? Which network provider do you use? Do you face audio issues when calling to a Nimbuzz user? Please let me know

    Dan August 9th, 2010
  13. @Dan – Hello, I am in Guatemala, Central America. My network provider is “Claro”. When I call a Nimbuzz user, same issue, only in 3G. I was testing a Sony Xperia X10, guess what?, same issues. Skype Calls only work with Wifi connection. My provider does not have any restriction with Voip calls over 3G.

I hope you guys fix it. Now I’m using other solution, but let me tell you, Nimbuzz its better. If you need more information about just let me know.

    Gabriel August 10th, 2010
  14. hello guys i downloaded nimbuzz to use for skype calls on my samsung galaxy s and im having the same mic issues i can hear just fine the other person cant hear me at all…. im in the unites states my carrier is tmobile and i use the samsung vibrant hope it helps and thank you

    Andres August 10th, 2010
  15. @Andres Thanks so much for sending us your feedback, and sorry you are experiencing the problem as well. I hope to have news about this issue pretty soon. Thanks again!

    Dan August 11th, 2010
  16. @Dan – Hello again, I just want to let you know that I am using Nimbuzz 1.4.1 again, and it works good. I can make calls from skype over 3G without a problem. I hope the developers can fix 2.0 version.

    Gabriel August 12th, 2010
  17. Same issue here.

As I’m not an Skype user I just spent $10 in Netbuzz’s credits to try it and find that mhe mic in my Samsung Galaxy S is not working.
I’m in Spain and my carrier is Vodafone. Using build 7981.8052

While you fix it, where can I download Nimbuzz 1.4.1 from?

    Mario August 12th, 2010
  18. @Mario – I can send it to you. Give me your email address. I’m using 1.4.1 and it work fine.

    Gabriel August 12th, 2010
  19. I confirm Skype calls are not working on my Samsung Vibrant. I can’t hear anything nor can the other person hear me. I’m using 2.0.0 build 7981.8052

Tried version 1.4.1 and everything works fine.

    Nimbuzz 1.4.1:

    Nicolas August 14th, 2010
  20. Hi guys, can you please anyone send me Nimbuzz 1.4.1 at ? And does it really work on SAMSUNG GALAXY S? Thanx a lot.

    Lumir August 14th, 2010
  21. I can also confirm that Nimbuzz 2.0 is not compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S devices.

While it’s an amazing IM for mobile devices, the current version fails to use the microphone built in on the Galaxy S, rendering Nimbuzz useless for voicecalls.

    Niklas August 15th, 2010
  22. @Gabriel Thanks for letting me know. I already collected and reported the issues regarding the Nimbuzz 2.0 version – we are already investigating whats going on and we hope to have good news for all of you shortly.

    Dan August 16th, 2010
  23. @Nicolas @ Niklas @Mario – hey guys, thanks for your great feedback – in order to resolve this issue ASAP we need as much information as possible – would you mind answering some questions for us?
    -Device (brand & model)
-Country in which you are located?
    -Network provider
-Type of connection you use when placing a call?
-If you use 3g, do you face the same audio problem when calling using WiFi?
-Can you please let me know if the problems are Skype specific or also happen with Nimbuzz calls?

    Thanks in advance!

    Dan August 16th, 2010
  24. Any one who is having problems with the Samsung Galaxy S devices – Can you please answer these questions

    -Device (brand & model)
-Country in which you are located?
    -Network provider
-Type of connection you use when placing a call?
-If you use 3g, do you face the same audio problem when calling using WiFi?

  25. Device:
Samsung Galaxy S (The original non branded)

    Network provider:
Tele2 (No limits on voice calls/im on their networks)

    Type of connection:
    3G, HSDPA, Wi-Fi – i’ve tried them all.

If you use 3g, do you face the same audio problem when calling using WiFi?:
Yes, the only problem I am experiencing is that my microphone is not working with Nimbuzz at all. I can still connect my voicecalls with others and hear them just fine, both on 3G, Turbo 3G (HSDPA) and Wi-fi.

Can you please let me know if the problems are Skype specific or also happen with Nimbuzz calls:
I haven’t tried Nimbuzz calls, the microphone won’t work when calling any supported IM however (MSN, skype).

    Niklas August 17th, 2010
  26. @Niklas Thank you very much for quick response. This is incredibly helpful for us! Would you be willing to try a test version with improvements? Let me know

    Dan August 18th, 2010
  27. Of course. I want this solved badly!

Feel free to email me an apk and i’ll do some testing.

    Niklas August 18th, 2010
  28. Just thought I should also share my issue with nimbuzz on my galaxy s.

    Mainstream galaxy s
    Network provider:
    Type of connection:

-I have not tried 3g because i do not have a data plan.

-Call quality over skype is patchy and non functional. In voip calls i can hear my contact perfectly but he/she can’t hear me at all. ( I use a custom voip service called voxalot)

-Instant messaging over all services works perfectly.

Overall nimbuzz is a fantastic program and I have used it extensively in the past on various nokia phones and cant wait till it works 100% on my galaxy s :D

Don’t know, never called another Nimbuzz user.

    Network provider:
Elisa (No limits on voice calls/im on their networks)
    Type of connection:
3G, HSDPA, Wi-Fi – i’ve tried them all and all works

I have Galaxy S and I use Nimbuzz to make SIP calls. Before with firmware version JF5 I can hear perfect what other person says but my mic was muted. Now I changed firmware to custom firmaware JM5+lag fix and now my voice goes clearly trough. One irritating is just that speaker (sounds like rear speaker..?) is extreme laud so it might cause echo maybe mic is too loud too?. I have set iLBC to audio codec.

    Jarsiv August 18th, 2010
  32. I have the Nimbuzz apk version 1.4.1, and skype works fine with this, I had to uninstall 2.0. If someone want it let your email here and I will send it to you.

  39. 1.4.1. not really working on my SAMSUNG GALAXY S either. Any suggestions? It work 1 out of 10 or more try and the sound was so bad, that you cannot use it anyway.

    The info:
Tied over 3G, EDGE and WI-FI.

    Lumir August 20th, 2010
  40. @Dan: No, 1.4 is not working. I’m still unable to use my credits.
Please, send me the test version when available.
    Thank you very much.

  41. Hi, I can’t send audio properly on gtalk and skype calls from Nimbuzz. Receiving audio works great. The sent audio is just scratchy noise sent in bursts. It is not a bandwidth problem, I have tried with several wifi networks.

    Nimbuzz: v2.0.0 build 7981.8052
    Device: Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000
    Country: Denmark
    Network provider: 3 (three/tre,
Type of connection you use when placing a call: wifi
If you use 3g, do you face the same audio problem when calling using WiFi: with 3g i am unable to get or send audio at all.
The problems are Skype specific or also happen with Nimbuzz calls: have not tried Nimbuzz calling, but problem occurs with both gtalk and skype.

    Firmware 2.1-update1
    Baseband version I9000XXJF5
    Kernel version 2.6.29
    Build number ECLAIR.XWJFB

  42. @Andres Thanks for all your help! I will be sending the test version early next week!

    Dan August 20th, 2010
  43. @Lumir @Mario This is great info! Reporting this today. We are trying to figure out if it is a hardware compatibility related issue. I will be sending you guys the test version as soon as it is available.

    Dan August 20th, 2010
  44. @Torben Thank you for getting all these answers for us! And all the details about the audio quality. Are you also interested in trying a test version? Please let me know and I’ll send it to you as soon as I get it.

    Dan August 20th, 2010
  45. I am interested to try beta version. Especially I can make tests to SIP-calls.

    Jarsiv August 20th, 2010
  46. Using Galaxy S I9000. Incoming voice volume is extremely high even on lowest volume level (like using loudspeaker). Mic does not work at all. Tried using Galaxy headphone too but faced same problem.

tested on HSDPA, GPRS from Orange and WIFI
    – Country: Switzerland
    – does the same happen on WiFi?: Yes happens too.
    – what is the recurrence rate? (ex: out of 10 calls how many have audio issues?): never worked so far (10 of 10)
    – Does it happen if you call a contact from other IM community (besides Skype)? no other IM used, just NibuzzOut
    – OS version: Android 2.1-update1 (base JF3)

    yvesb August 20th, 2010
  47. Tested version 1.4.1 posted by Nicolas but faced same issues with mic and loud incomming voice when testing with skype test call.

Like Mario I bought $10 Nimbuzz credit for using VoIP but can not use the service now.

Would be very happy to test the new version asap.

    yvesb August 20th, 2010
  48. Update your cellphones. With firmware JM1 it’s a lot better for me at least.

    Lukas August 20th, 2010
  49. I have indeed heard of The Galaxy S devices having bad audio drivers with original firmware.

Unfortunately, there’s no update in Sweden as of now, it would seem the only released updates are with major foreign carriers for the moment, especially within the UK.

    Niklas August 22nd, 2010
  50. @Niklas
You can update your device with Odin. There is also no newer firmware as JF3 available for Switzerland, however, with Odin I put JM1 and it solves the problem.

    Lukas August 22nd, 2010
  51. @Dan – I am interested in try a test version too. Please let me know when is it available. Thank you.

    Nexus One 2.2 FRF91
    Country: Guatemala
    Network Provider: Claro

    Gabriel August 23rd, 2010
  52. @Lukas

Sorry, flashing with Odin and unofficial firmwares comes with great risks – even if you do it exactly as you are supposed to, it can still go wrong and your phone will be “bricked”, meaning it will never work again.

Also, by flashing with Odin you are breaking the Terms of Service, if anything happens to your phone you are no longer allowed to turn it in for warranty errands.

Sadly, I once bricked a Samsung SGH-F480 as the firmware on it was over one year old and nothing new was released officially for swedes :P

    Niklas August 23rd, 2010
  53. @yvesb Thanks for sending your feedback as well – I will be sending you all the test version as well. I’ll keep you guys posted! Thanks so much for all your patience with this.

    Dan August 23rd, 2010
  54. @Gabriel @Mario @Andres @Lumir @Niklas @Lukas @Jarsiv @Torben @Dag @Mitch @Nicolas – We have two versions with different fixes that could solve the issues you are experiencing!!!! :)

Please send me your email address

I would like to ask you to check these 2 versions and send me feedback if one of the builds solves your issues, or not. Please include in your reply which device & OS version you are using, a short description of the issue, and which build A or B solves the issue.

    Dan August 23rd, 2010
  55. Thank you Dan.

Device: Samsung Galaxy S (GT-i9000) Android OS 2.1 Eclair

    (Device firmwares)
    PDA: I9000XWJM2
    PHONE: I9000XXJM1
    CSC: I9000XEEJM1

The first link provided solved all my problems straight away

I must however mention, i did at last update my phone to the latest official released version from Samsung, still, calling through MSN (which is my primary need) works like a charm.

As I really apreciate your response and fast work however, I also tried the second version linked which turned out to work just as well (for some reason, in this version I had to pick a provider, I chose

I’ll be keeping this, sadly, I don’t know if you’re on to something over at the Nimbuzz HQ or if it was my firmware update on the phone that took care of things (as others before me stated). However, when I first tried the english version of JM1 earlier today and downloaded Nimbuzz from the market, I was unable to make any calls at all to MSN, the receiving end would not even see any incomming call, nor would I see theirs.

I’m now on the latest Swedish version of the same update though, and with these two apk’s everythings fine.

    Niklas August 23rd, 2010
  56. With A and B still same problem. With SIP calls speaker is extreme loud even it is set to min. (Galaxy S, Custom JM5+lag fix)

    jarsiv August 24th, 2010
  57. Thanks a lot @Dan. I’m testing version A and is working great. Let me test version B too and I send you feedback.

    Gabriel August 25th, 2010
  58. @Niklas thanks so much for the feedback and details – I’m going to wait and see what the others have to say and then I’ll make sure to report. Will keep posted. Thanks again!

    Dan August 25th, 2010
  59. I cannot install it. All the time it says “Application not installed” and I cannot figure out why. Well I am not that big of a professional I guess.

    Lumir August 25th, 2010
  60. @Dan – thanks for let us test these versions. Here the results:
    Phone: Google Nexus One
    OS: Android 2.2 FRF91
    Network provider: Claro
    Country: Guatemala

    — Version A:
Works great over 3G and Wifi. I had good quality calls and better Skype connectivity than 1.4.1. The issues in Nimbuzz: v2.0.0 build 7981.8052 that I reported disappeared. So I’m using this version since yesterday.

    — Version B:
Works over Wifi but It does not work over 3G. Same issues like Nimbuzz: v2.0.0 build 7981.8052 version that I reported. I cant hear anything when I’m calling and the mic does not work. But I realized better connectivity than 1.4.1.

As I really apreciate your response!.

Any further questions let me know.

    Gabriel August 25th, 2010
  61. @Grabriel @Niklas Thanks guys for your feedback – it is incredibly helpful for us

I have a new test version that I wanted to share with you

This should fix all the issues for users that had no audio on Skype/ SkypeOut.

Anyone who’d like t try it out please send me your email address

    Dan August 25th, 2010
  62. @Dan

Have you noticed the speaker volume problem? I also tested to call Skype echo and also there was extreme high volume.

    Jarsiv August 25th, 2010
  63. @Jarsiv – Yes we are aware of this problem. Hopefully the next test version I send you wont have this issue anymore. Keep you posted! :)

    Dan August 25th, 2010
  64. @Dan – I am testing this version #3 is working great, I can make calls over 3G and Wifi using nimbuzz and skype out.

I have a suggestion: nimbuzz must use proximity sensor for turn off the screen while we are in a call.

    Thanks for the support @Dan

    Gabriel August 26th, 2010
  65. @Dan
    Also using test build #3
Everything is working fine on both 3g and wifi now. Thanks for the great response time.
I do need to echo Gabriel’s suggestion about the proximity sensor or an option allowing the screen to turn off after a set time. This would help battery life I’m sure.
In the meantime the off button will work just fine.
    Again thanks!

    Will August 26th, 2010
  66. @Will @Gabriel Thanks so much for all your help testing all the test versions and giving us feedback. I’ll make sure to pass along your comments and the great suggestion as well. Please let me know if there is anything I can help you guys with.

    Dan August 26th, 2010
  67. @Dan There is also something what you should improve. Right now you are forced to use international call prefixes. So almoust every time Nimbuzz adds it wrong.

I think people saves their contact whitout prefixes like 012-1234567 (Noticed that some operator number start with zero) So the problem is that if you have set prefix to for example United State of America +1 will Nimbuzz add it to +10121234567. So as we see there should not been zero after prefix number.

So my suggestion is that you make option that user can disable prefixes.

    Jarsiv August 26th, 2010
  68. @Dan Thank you for involving all of us in the testing of the Nimbuzz developments.

I tested on my Samsung Galaxy S I9000 first with the original firmware JF3 the versions:

1.4.1, 2.0 original (as in Market) and your prototypes #1, #2:
All version had the same problem – extremely loud incoming voice and my voice does not go through (microphone is not working).

Then I updated my device on firmware JM1 as suggested by Lukas. This solved the problem with outgoing voice on version 2.0 original and prototype #1, #2, #3 equally well. Could not find differences in quality in between the four versions, just found some layout changes.

Now I am using #3 and therefore I would like to report that the voice in and out is ok and natural but there is a very loud background noise primarily on the receiving side (Skype Echo as well as NimbuzzOut).

In all tested versions I still recognized the extremely loud incoming voice level. There is no difference from #3 to all the others.

    yvesb August 26th, 2010
  69. Hey everybody, where did the link for downloading 2.0.1 version disspear? It was here few days ago !!!! And now is gone. @Dan are you guys planning to place the 2.0.1 to the market any time soon?

    Lumir August 26th, 2010
  70. @Lumir Please sent me your email address to torres at nimbuzz dot com, and I can share the link with you, so you can give it a try.

    Dan August 26th, 2010
  71. @yvesb Thank you for all your feedback. I’m making sure all your comments are getting to the right hands.

(BTW – I appreciate you using the numbers when you mentioned the versions. ;) )

We are aware of the loud voice level and we are working on it. We hope to have that fix soon as well

Thanks again for helping us out, and making sure we get this fix soon.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

    Dan August 27th, 2010
  72. @Dan You have it on your mail.

    Lumir August 27th, 2010
  73. @Dan. Thanx for the link, But I cannot install it on my GALAXY S. It does start the process of installing, but always stops and says “Application not isntalled”. So Iguess I will have to wait till it appears in the market. Any idea when that is gonna be?

    Lumir August 27th, 2010
  74. @Lumir – Go to Settings -> Applications -> check Unknown Sources.

That allow you install non-Market applications.

    Gabriel August 27th, 2010
  75. @Dan I of course had that checked before. The problem must be somewhere else. But I spent lot of time trying and gave up on this.

    Lumir August 27th, 2010
  76. @Dan I got it done !!!! I had to unistall everythingb regarding NIMBUZZ in my phone first. After complete “clean up” this trial had installed itself. :-) As per the soft – still a bit unstable but microphone working while calling SKYPE :-))) A litte issue with the prefix numbers as mentioned here before. But, you guys are definitely in the right direction. Thanx a lot for everything.

    Lumir August 27th, 2010
  77. @Dan – I tested it all day long in the real life today and SKYPE is working just fine. Now, you guys just finish up the video calling please and we are all rocking. :-))))

    Lumir August 27th, 2010
  78. @Dan – I have been testing Version # 3 on a Sony Xperia X10, SkypeOut and NimbuzzOut is working just fine. The previous official versions (1.4.1 and 2.0) had echoes problems with this phone.
Just another thing, when I am connected for 2 or 3 hours, skype is disconnect for any reason but nimbuzz keeps connected so I have to restart nimbuzz and skype reconnect. That is very annoying

I hope next version use proximity sensor during calls.
Nice work! Nimbuzz is great. Thanks for all @Dan.

  79. Hi Dan, could you please send me the test version #3. I have the problems mentioned here in the thread:
    – high and non-configurable level of volume in the phone loudspeaker (instead of earpiece which is not used by NB for the calls at all)
    – significant echo on the other side of the connection.

All calls were through NimbuzzOut and WiFi. I have a Samsung Galaxy S from

    Thanks in advance

    Lumir September 1st, 2010
  91. @Dan – since Monday nimbuzz is very unstable. Skype does not connect. :-(
There’s any reason for this situation?

I hope you guys fix it!

    Gabriel September 1st, 2010
  92. Hi Dan,

Here is the feedback on the version I received from you for Samsung Galaxy S:
    – NimbuzzOut calls to landline and mobile phones were going normally and with the quality that I would rate as acceptable on both sides of the connection – based on the criterion that both sides could understand the other side without making efforts and the voices were easily recognizable. At the same time, in all tests those whom I spoke with (people on the other side of the connection – phones) reported noticeable (or sometimes significant) echo with the delay of 1-2 seconds in average.
    – In all tests with NimbuzzOut, the earpiece was used by Nimbuzz on my Galaxy (positive change!). At the same time, in-line volume was at its maximum value and I was not able to reduce it through the built-in In-Line Volume Control of the phone.
    – Tests with SkypeOut repeated the above results while sound quality of the calls was just a bit lower (which is actually understandable due to the presence of the Nimbuzz-Skype gateway in the connection). BTW Skype connections were stable in my tests – no breaks.

All tests were performed through a Wi-Fi connection cause my 3G service from T-Mobile should commence in a few days.

Hope this feedback will help your R&D in fine-tuning the voice call quality, which I believe is crucial for the success of Nimbuzz business model, especially in the anticipation of Gmail Voice coming to the Mobile Gmail on Android. Although, I think Nimbuzz has several other differentiators but imho the voice call quality and the ability to intermediate with Skype, etc. will be vital in the future.

I am keen to test new Nimbuzz versions for Android, indeed.

    Ivanytch September 1st, 2010
  93. @Dan is there still solution for volume problem and for prefix number? Any new betas? I’m interested to test if there is some improves.

    Dan September 3rd, 2010
  98. @Ivanytch Where do you live?

    Dan September 3rd, 2010
  99. @Dan – My biggest issue is the stability of the SKYPE. And of course the call quality has to improve since it is far from the quality of original SKYPE I used on an iPhone before. But I have not experienced the loudness issue on the trial I have right now.

    Lumir September 3rd, 2010
  100. @Dan – today is working better. I have had some delays on Skype calls, 2 or 3 seconds. In addition, 3 or 4 hours later Skype is disconnected but nimbuzz is online.

    I’m using version # 3.

    Gabriel September 3rd, 2010
  101. @Gabriel Thanks for letting me know. We are doing some tests right now so we can get rid of the delay ASAP

    Dan September 10th, 2010
  102. Dear all,

I tried Nimbuzz 1.4.1 on my samsung galaxy S, I tried to call by skype to a phone in a foreign country, I still have the same problem: I can hear ( and the sound is very loud… I don’t know why, it’s like I open the speaker), and they cannot hear me…
I feel awkward now with the 11€ I pay for SKYPE.

Even though, I can call with my laptop, but it’s not as convenient as a handphone.

    Can you please help me?
    Thank you

    Kris September 13th, 2010
  103. @Kris Thanks for letting us know. This is a known issue and we are working on it. Make sure you update the Nimbuzz version for Android to (Nimbuzz 2.0). We already have a fix for some of your problems and we will have an update pretty soon. Please let me know if there is anything else that I can help you with.

    Dan September 13th, 2010
  104. @Dan,
Thank you for your fast answer.
    Now, that I use Skype.2.0, it’s aven worse I can’t even call:
It’s written: “you’ve been disconnected, we’ll make our possible to fix the problem…”.

I guess, it will take long again to be able to speak through Skype…
When do you think the new Android will upload the new version which I hope I can use SKYPE without problem?

    Thank you!

    Kris September 14th, 2010
  105. @Kris I was notified that we had some problems with Skype last week. Can you please send me an email to torres at nimbuzz dot com with your info. I’d like to get more feedback from you. Thanks !

    Dan September 16th, 2010
  106. Thank you.
I send to Torres the mail.
I’ll feedback once I got his reply.

    Kris September 18th, 2010
  107. @Kris – Thanks – Will reply later today!

    Dan September 20th, 2010
  108. @Dan – Again I have had some delays on Skype calls, 3 or 4 seconds. In addition, 2 or 3 hours later, Skype appears disconnected but nimbuzz is online. This happend over 3g and wifi.
Why does not try to reconnect automatically? That would be good.

    I’m using version # 3.

  114. @Andres Thanks for letting us know and your suggestion. It seems that the latest version fixed the audio issue for some people. But for those others we need to investigate a little further. Can you please remind where you are located? And if you are having the same problem if you call over Nimbuzz or Skype? Thanks

  117. @All – just wanted to follow up with everyone – Is everyone doing ok? Nimbuzz working good for all? Anyone who hasn’t received any help? Let me know! Thanks guys!

    Dan October 1st, 2010
  118. Hi Dan, I have tried to do some SKYPE calls and now I have opposite problems. I cannot sometimes hear the other side as they hear me ok. Well really “OK” because the delay issue is still there. Even when I hear the other side, it is far from perfect. I actually pulled out my old iPhone 3GS and tried the SKYPE app thru it and the difference is stunning. The original iPhone app is flawless.

    Lumir October 2nd, 2010
  119. Hi Dan,
    It doesn’t work…
Never mind… Maybe SFR (Vodafone) blocked it…
    always a problem of disconnection.
Whatever I’ll stop the plan with SKYPE direct to phone.
Thank you very much for your help!

  120. -Device (brand & model): Samsung Galaxy 5 (I5500B)
-Country in which you are located? Brazil
    -Network provider: Oi
-Type of connection you use when placing a call? Wi-Fi
-If you use 3g, do you face the same audio problem when calling using WiFi? Only Wi-Fi
-the problems are Skype specific or also happen with Nimbuzz calls?
Tested only Skype calls. When I place a call one out of two problems takes place: 1 – I can clearly hear the other person on the phone, but he can’t hear me. 2 – I can’t hear the other person’s voice and he can’t hear me. In both cases, if i try to place a new call Nimbuzz freezes and get closed by Android.

    Nimbuzz version: 2.0.1

We are aware of VoIP blocking in UAE, which is an initiative from the government together with the Telecommunications Authorities.
Unfortunately due to these reasons we cannot guarantee that VoIP calling will work for you. We recommend you to try to call using other network to test if it helps.
    Kind Regards
