  2. Nimbuzz for iPhone:

    1. There’s no caller ID for incoming VoIP calls. I’ve tried other clients and it works using the same account, so i know it’s not a SIP messaging or VoIP account issue.

    2. Connection (and maintaining the connection) to messenger/social networks doesn’t seem to be reliable. I find other aggregators like Meebo does a better job, and faster.

These 2 things, if improved/corrected, will make Nimbuzz real solid.

  3. Nimbuzz doesn’t autoscroll when receiving a new message in the chats on nexus 1 android 2.2 froyo!

    ZuZ July 28th, 2010
  4. Get voice for blackberry, and I’ll be using this app all the time. That would be the differentiator between nimbuzz and your competitors.

  5. Guys you rock but there is two problems. First one is it takes ages to nimbuzz connects to services which is annoying, the second is when you get a im written in a right to left language like persian, it deliveres in reverse and words of sentence deliver in reverse style, for example blah yada delivers as yada blah. The rest is masterpiece.

    Souren July 28th, 2010
  6. Also if you can use standard emoticonse of every service for itself and stop using your smiley that would be great. Yours are not complete there is no smiley for :)) in yahoo for your set for example.

  7. @James Marshal Thanks for your feedback. Are you referring to the Samsung Genio? Is the touchscreen having problems only on Nimbuzz? Which Nimbuzz version are you running? Let me know

  13. Hi. Thanks for nimbuzzz, is great! But i can’t make calls to skype, why? I use nimbuzz in a blackberry curve 8520. Thanks

    luis vidal July 30th, 2010
  14. @Luis Thanks for your questions – We are working really hard to bring you this feature as soon as possible. We are waiting for RIM to open their API, and then we can offer our BB users the best free VoIP experience.

  15. Android 2.1
    Droid X

When using nimbuzz sometimes the call will be put on hold for no reason or lost without nimbuzz knowing it. I’ve had it where the person literally had signed off but the call was still going on my phone. A hold toggle button would definitely be handy. Also I seem to be getting a lot of delay. Its definitely the app as skype mobile on 3g works fine, my ipad running skype works fine and my computers work fine with no delay.

Other than these annoyances with skype (please fix!) I love the app! Happy with everything else!

  16. @steve thanks so much for your suggestions and feedback. make sure to update you Nimbuzz Android version and please let me know if you encounter the same problems. I will make sure to report this before the end of the week.

  17. @Dan
Still have the issue. Nimbuzz doesn’t take control of the wifi while a call is active on skype. So the phone turns the wifi off after a time. This is user controllable so it’s just annoying. The delay /seems/ to have cleared up thankfully, however Nimbuzz still seems unable to hang up a skype call when it’s dropped. This applies to both me and the other person not using Nimbuzz. For instance I was on a rather long call but the person on the other end was no longer there. When I checked nimbuzz I saw that I was no longer logged into skype.

One last thing, when in a call, if I clear my notifications the call disappears from the tray and there seems to be no way to get back into the call once left. The only way to stop the call is to kill nimbuzz.

  18. @Steve Thanks for sending me all this info. Im reporting your issue right now. Hopefully Ill have some good news for you next week. – Thanks for your patience!

  19. Hi,
I use Nimbuzz 2.4 on Nokia 5800XM phone.
    Two issues:
    1) The status message is common for all groups, so if i go online on for ex: google, i automatically go online on other groups too, which i don’t desire. Can’t this be changed so that every group status is exclusive from other group.
    2) There is quite a bit of delay in calls between hearing voice at opposite ends.(with skypout or even nimbuzz to nimbuzz). I think Fring is better than Nimbuzz in this case.I was using Fring before Nimbuzz and migrated to Nimbuzz, after Fring stopped Skype support. But i find that call quality is not as good as Fring. This 2nd point is a major problem for me and for many users i am sure.
The other person with whom i talk on opposite end has Nokia E71 and has Nimbuzz 2.4.
Hope the Nimbuzz team takes notice of these points and works on them.
    Thanks.

    Hary August 8th, 2010
  20. @Hary Thanks so much for your feedback – This is very important to us. I will report your both of your comments this week, and I will get back to you as soon as I hear any news or updates regarding the voice delay. Let me know if you have any other questions or comments.

    Dan August 9th, 2010
  21. @James Marshal Maybe you could try the version for: Samsung Corby B3410, if it does not work, please give me the exact model, so I can check which version would be more compatible for his device.

  22. @Zuz is this issue fixed with the new Nimbuzz 2.0 version for Android? Please let me know!

    Dan August 11th, 2010
  23. Hi Dan, thanks for this post.

    I’m using Nimbuzz 2.0 on Android 2.1

SkypeOut Issue: Can call (Communication is stablished) but neither me nor the other end can hear each other (I know it’s a known issue, is there any hope on getting it fixed?) However, I do have an online number with skype, so when people dial that US number, the calls get stablished and they are good (so outgoing is the problem)

Delay issue: As Hary already mentioned, there’s a delay (At least on incoming calls, which are the ones I could try) of 3 seconds till I can hear the other end and viceversa.

Thanks for the support. I love the app.

    Irusconi August 27th, 2010
  24. @Irusconi thanks for your comments and feedback. As you mentioned this is a known issue and we are already working on it. We’ll have the fixes on the next version, which we hope it is really soon. Can you please let me know what device are you using? Please let me know and I might be able to send you a test version and see if your problems get better.

Can you please answer these questions

    -Device (brand & model)
-Country in which you are located?
    -Network provider
-Type of connection you use when placing a call?
-If you use 3g, do you face the same audio problem when calling using WiFi?
-the problems are Skype specific or also happen with Nimbuzz calls?
