Nimbuzz Stories: This is mine!

Nimbuzz story

We all have a Nimbuzz story, and mine starts about a year ago.

I’m originally from Bogotá – Colombia but I ‘ve been living in San Francisco (USA) since 2002.

Still have a lot friends and family back home, so I’m one of those always looking for cheap and free ways to call internationally. :)

I used to buy calling cards so I could call my mom to her cell phone or house line, but I’m glad that I don’t have to do that anymore.

Now everyday after work, as I’m walking home, I can call her from my iPhone for free. Using Nimbuzz, I take the advantage of being able to call over the 3G network while she sits in her computer at home and we can talk for a bit.

Thanks to apps like Nimbuzz, I make free calls to all my friends on Nimbuzz, MSN, Google Talk and save money on international fees, time, and be a better friend! ;)

Read on!

Now, I’m working for the company, and I use Nimbuzz on my PC while at work to stay connected with all my coworkers, and chat with all my friends around the world.

And this is my Nimbuzz story.

Do you have a Nimbuzz story? How did you find it? How and when do you use it? Share with us and all our readers! We would love to hear from you!

You can send me your Nimbuzz story at torres at nimbuzz dot com or leave a comment in the section below.

  1. My Nimbuzz-story is not very spectacular. I was looking for a browser based multiclient for YM, MSN, skype and ICQ about 2 years ago, so I found web.nimbuzz.com.
Later I got a simcard with a moderate prise for data and a flatrate to German landline so I aprechiated Nimbuz-Java on my old Nokia 6230i. I started to use the Nimbuzz groupchats and made Nimbuzzfriendsaround the world while still staying connected to my friendsin various other communities. I found some bugs, contacted the Nimbuzz-Team, had nice chats with the lady of the support and finaly becam betatester and Nimbuzz-Ambassador.
Now I got me one of theese nice Droid Android-phones an apprechiate to use Nimbuzz also on this platform again evenso I kindof feel set back in theearly daysof the Java-version, so I became Betatester agin and like to help to make N-M-Android an as nice programm as the Symbian-Version I used on the N95 of my wife.
Evenso I will have a dataflat soon I still belive that the dialinconnection was a nice option for many userswithout dataflat.
