Flash news! Google’s Android 2.2 Froyo is here!

We couldn’t wait one more minute to tell you that the next version of the Android operating system, Android 2.2 also known as Froyo is almost here!!

How do we know? Thanks to the guys over at Techcrunch who confirmed seeing a giant frozen yogurt plastic sculpture today outside Google’s office, which usually indicates a new release coming up. ;)

So I’m sure you are dying to know what’s new right?

Find out more!

Here are some of the main features so far:

  • Flash: full Adobe Flash support will prove very useful for browsing the Web on an Android 2.2 phone.
  • Speed improvement: Expect Froyo to be faster, like 450% faster compared to the 2.1 OS.
  • Built in USB Tethering: For those who are not familiar with the word tethering (check out the screenshot above), this enables you to go online from your laptop or PDA using your cell phone as a modem. This also means you are going to be able to share your data connection with your laptop which is something that Apple hasn’t officially supported yet.

I’m sure this is in response to Apple’s announcement of their new operational system 4 OS with multitasking. Now, let’s wait to see what Apple has to say about Froyo, I guess we’ll only find out at the WWDC Apple is putting on, unless we have some more news leakage before that. ;-)

“Expect Froyo to officially launch no later that the Google I/O event next week”. says Techcruch, but we CAN’T WAIT to get our hands on Froyo!!

As soon as we have new information about Google’s new baby, we will make sure to let you know. We’ll also keep you posted about new Nimbuzz updates and features for Android so you can enjoy the best multi -messenger experience for free .

Have any suggestions or is there anything that you are missing in your Nimbuzz for Android , let us in the comment section below!

  1. When will NimbuzzOut be offered for Android devices? I’m in Canada and can’t get Skype on my Nexus so NimbuzzOut would be a great solution…

  12. @M. AkramSaim12812 Unfortunately for now the only way to buy credit is using a card either debit or credit. Hopefully soon will be adding more payment options so you can buy new credit. Re the second question. Yes you can use your credit anywhere in the world as long as you have internet connection. Please let me know if you have any more questions.
