  6. Hi, will this only work with Android 2.0?

I want to get this primarily for SMS. When I send an SMS using this, will the recipient see my phone number as the sender? Also, when they reply to the text, can they simply use my normal phone number or do they have to use something else? thanks

  7. @Maxim On Nimbuzz you can chat with all your friends from Nimbuzz, Skype, MSN, AIM, Yahoo, Gchat and more, so you can avoid paying for text messages. Yes this will work with the Froyo update. Please let me know if this makes sense.

  10. OK…I am new to the whole android thing and thinking of upgrading…But gotta cut corners somewhere…can this replace the $10 a month I pay for Texting? Can you send messages with this to people with regular (non smart phone) cell phones? Do they send it to a different number?

    Heather November 9th, 2010
  11. @Heather – Thanks for your comment. Here is some helpful info for you. Nimbuzz is an all in one free app that allows you to put all your friends from Facebook, MSN, Yahoo, AIM, Google Talk, and more in one contact list – so you can call, chat, and share files for free. You can save minutes and messages since Nimbuzz uses your unlimited data plan to connect. Nimbuzz supports more than 3000 different phones (even non smartphones), Mac, PC and Web, and allows you to stay connected all day, call for free and even make international calls to other mobile phones and landlines for cheap. Please let me know if this helps answer a few concerns and let me know if I can help you with anything else.

  12. similar to Heather’s question on Nov 9, how does a user of a non-smart phone send text to my smart phone? My son has regular flip phone with text plan….I want to use Nimbuzz on my smart phone so I can text with him via my unlimited data plan, but want my son to be able to text me as easily as possible with his non-smart phone…preferrably without him being required to use special codes, etc. I’ve seen in other write ups on Nimbuzz that both parties require Nimbuzz to be installed on their phones…how does that work if one party has a non-smart phone?

    Scott December 7th, 2010
  13. @Scott – Thanks for your question. Nimbuzz works on over 3000 phones, including non – smartphones. You can check if your son’s phone is listed on our website following this link http://www.nimbuzz.com/en/help > Mobile > and you can click on the question > Which mobile phones are supported by Nimbuzz. Please let me know if you need help with that or if your son’s phone is not listed; I can find out if we can add Nimbuzz support ASAP. You do need a data plan in order to use Nimbuzz and we usually recommend an unlimited one to avoid extra charges. Please let me know if that makes sense or if you have any other questions, and I will be happy to help you out.
